About

This stress resilience assessment is tailored to gauge an individual’s ability to retain functional effectiveness both during and post-failure stress. It zeroes in on three pivotal elements: adaptability, self-regulation, and stress endurance. With the help of this test, an effective system for predicting a person’s emotional resilience can be implemented.

Scientific backing

The scientific community has shown considerable interest in our stress resilience assessment, as evidenced by over 128 scholarly articles focusing on its innovative methodology. This extensive collection of scholarly works demonstrates the scientific rigor and depth of our assessment, solidifying its standing as a research-backed and highly credible tool.

Gamified experience

Our assessment transcends traditional methods by incorporating a gamified simulation that is designed to give a true measure of a person's stress-handling abilities, without being swayed by the urge to impress or conform to perceived expectations. Similarly, it reduces the chances of other common tendencies that can skew results, ensuring the insights reflect genuine behaviors.

Inner workings

How it works

Participants answer a set of questions probing their stress resilience, with an algorithm ensuring unbiased results. These are then distilled into a concise report, offering key insights.

Response profiling

The process begins with a series of carefully crafted questions, each designed to tap into different aspects of an individual’s stress response and coping mechanisms.

Bias-controlled algorithm

As participants respond, our sophisticated algorithm captures their answers while controlling for response biases.

Results

The resulting data is then analyzed to create a nuanced profile of the individual’s resilience and adaptability under stress.

Practical application

This profile is transformed into a clear, actionable report that gives organizations the insights they need for strategic talent development and effective team management.

Recruitment for high-stress occupations

Evaluating stress resilience is crucial when hiring for roles like pilots, military personnel, or first responders, ensuring they can handle intense pressures inherent to their duties. Even if candidates appear to be a perfect fit initially, it's challenging to predict how they will perform under real-world stressors. Our assessment mitigates hiring risks by objectively measuring candidates' stress resilience, self-control, and adaptability. This information allows organizations to make evidence-based decisions, reducing the likelihood of hiring individuals who may struggle to cope with the inherent stressors of the role.

Reducing operational risk and ensuring safety

For positions where stress can lead to significant operational mistakes, such as air traffic controllers or surgeons, assessing resilience is key to minimizing errors and ensuring safety.Any lapse due to stress can have catastrophic consequences. Our resilience assessment helps in flagging potential vulnerabilities, ensuring that only the most resilient individuals occupy these critical roles. By reducing the risk of stress-induced errors, organizations can maintain high safety standards and uphold their reputation in the industry.

Empirical validation of the test

We have conducted a number of studies to ensure the reliability and accuracy of our test. These comprehensive evaluations solidify the test’s credibility and its application in various scenarios.

Assessment of emotional resilience in air traffic controllers

Air traffic controllers operate within a high-stress environment, often managing the safety of hundreds of flights daily. This demands unwavering focus, emotional fortitude, and quick decision-making. Our study sought to uncover the effects of simulated “failure stress” conditions on their performance.

Our assessment not only provided pivotal insights into the emotional resilience of air traffic controllers under stressful conditions but also emphasized the critical nature of their roles. The results underscored the need for thorough screening, continuous training, and supportive measures to ensure that these professionals can meet the demands of their occupation.

Evaluating the emotional resilience of undergraduate students

Undergraduate students, while seemingly in a sheltered academic environment, face myriad pressures that can test their emotional resilience. We examined stress resilience in two groups from Dnipro University: 80 freshmen from the psychology and medicine faculties and 60 psychology juniors.

The results of our study shed light on the intricate emotional fabric of undergraduate students. They emphasize that a one-size-fits-all approach is insufficient. The pronounced differences in psychological well-being aspects underscore the method’s predictive validity and the importance of tailored support in academic settings.

Emotional resilience evaluation among teachers

Teaching, a noble profession, is not without its emotional challenges, which makes it paramount to understand the emotional resilience of educators. We carried out an empirical investigation with a sample of 60 teachers, subjecting them to a series of tests to gauge their emotional responses.

The study underscores the integral role emotional resilience plays in the teaching profession. It not only affects individual educators’ well-being but also directly influences their interactions with students. Recognizing and addressing these emotional nuances will be pivotal in fostering a more supportive and effective educational environment.
